16:62 Design Zone

In December 2000, businesses in Lawrenceville and the Strip District joined together with the Lawrenceville Corporation to promote a new destination in Pittsburgh: the 16:62 Design Zone, Pittsburgh’s arts and design district.

Our design district takes its name from the bridges that serve as its boundaries: the 16th Street Bridge in the Strip District and the 62nd Street Bridge in Lawrenceville. Between these two bridges, visitors can find a distinctive blend of more than 90 specialty shops, artisan studios, unique showrooms, and architectural and interior design firms--all devoted to design and home decor. Discover contemporary art, handcrafted furniture, fine antiques, custom cabinetry, and innovative architectural concepts along with stylish shops and professional services focused on design--including fashion, jewelry, and personal accessories.

Our cooperative marketing program has received local and national recognition for its achievements in helping our neighborhood grow by attracting new businesses and customers to Lawrenceville and the Strip. Read more in our News section.
