Lawrenceville Memorial Day Parade and Celebration at Allegheny Cemetary

This free annual Memorial Day Parade in Lawrenceville will include Veteran Organizations, Military Vehicles, Pgh Police, Fire & Paramedics, Shriner Motor Corps & Clowns, Boy Scouts, Morningside & 9th Ward Little League Organizations, Horse Color Guard, Dogs,Classic Cars and Lawrenceville Freedom Riders. The parade will last approximately 1 hour, and head down Butler St. to the entrance to the Allegheny Cemetery for a ceremony and wreath laying.

Pittsburgh Community Reinvestment Group and The Urban Land Institute Host 2nd Annual Community Development Summit

On May 24th, 2012 at the Omni William Penn Hotel in Downtown Pittsburgh, the Pittsburgh Community Reinvestment Group (PCRG) in collaboration with the Urban Land Institute – Pittsburgh District Council will be hosting the 2nd Annual Community Development Summit. More than 500 individuals from across the country will come together at the Summit to explore new ideas in organizational development, community planning, land recycling, affordable housing, transit-oriented development, and neighborhood revitalization.

Summer Fun Sessions for Little Paint Monkeys

Paint Monkey's “Summer Fun Sessions” will offer children four days of creativity per week in eight sessions from June 18th to August 16th. There will be no session the week of July 4th. The sessions are scheduled for Monday through Thursday from 9 am to 12 noon for grades 1st – 3rd and 1 pm to 4 pm for grades 4th – 6th.
